To photograph: it is to put on the same line of sight the head, the eye and the heart. Henri Cartier Bresson
Style
I’m a documentary wedding photographer. My style is based on photojournalism, observation and honest storytelling. I hate ridiculous posed images devoid of real emotions. I can not even imagine forcing people to do something like that. I strongly believe that only an intuitive shutter release can freeze a moment of life made of natural light and people driven by emotions. Your wedding is the event of your lifetime. It deserves documentary approach and mindfulness to capture who you truly are. You are living people, not wax figures. All you need is to enjoy the moment and be yourself.
Photojournalism roots
Photojournalism or documentary photography - what is it? Generally it is the process of storytelling using images. It's not enough to make 200 or 300 good photos. It means only that you have the material to create a story. I offer a unique story from every wedding and need around 50 images to do it. The photobook is perfect for that, but even if you don't choose this option I guarantee that you will receive your unique story in the online gallery. I don’t call reportage a set of photos from the wedding. It's a misunderstanding. You need to see honest story, which has a beginning, development and ending point. Just like a movie, but created form true images. This is my goal.
Dortmund 2008. Highway to Love – the penultimate and greatest Love Parade in history. I photographed on the negative, which did not allow me to take thousands of photos. Sometimes the old school is the best school. I try to keep this approach and state of mind even working with digital equipment. I don’t waste my time on continuous checking the camera back lcd to look what I just caught. I don't need it. I prefer to look around.
Emotions
Photography isn't about seeing, it's about feeling. If I don't have some kind of feeling for what I'm shooting, how can I expect the person who looks at it to feel anything? Don McCullin
I don't want to give you neutral images. Emotions are a key to wedding photography and I'm always looking for opportunity to capture true expression.
Decisive Moment
In 1952 Henri Cartier-Bresson, a founder of modern photojournalism, proposed one of the most fascinating and highly debated concepts in the history of photography: “the decisive moment.” This moment occurs when the visual and psychological elements of people in a real life scene spontaneously and briefly come together in perfect resonance to express the essence of that situation.
"Photography is not like painting. There is a creative fraction of a second when you are taking a picture. Your eye must see a composition or an expression that life itself offers you, and you must know with intuition when to click the camera. That is the moment the photographer is creative… Oop! The Moment! Once you miss it, it is gone forever."
It is a concept still close to my heart and I always strive The capture of a unique, fleeting, and meaningful moment, ideally one involving movement, body language and action. A precisely timed, unrepeatable, one-chance shot.

Composition
First of all, I don't want to create boring images. I'm still looking for other points of view, different angles and lenses to to capture each scene in an unusual or unique way.
Freedom
The outdoor session is a separate issue. This is not a documentary photography like weddings day shoots of course, but rather a kind of game. Regardless, the impression of naturalness and unforced behavior is still the most important thing.
